Brook's death was a classic case of you-eat-something-weird-and-pay-the-price. Ate the Revive-Revive Fruit, got killed, wandered as a soul, and then surprise! He's a living skeleton. The ultimate 'I got a second life but at what cost?' scenario.

He didn't technically die-die, he was already dead! LOL. But seriously, Brook 'died' because his crew was attacked by enemy pirates. The Yomi Yomi no Mi fruit he ate brought him back, but only his soul at first, and it took a whole year for it to find his now skeleton body! Spooky and cool, right?

Brook met his untimely demise after consuming a very peculiar fruit, known as the Yomi Yomi no Mi, or the Revive-Revive Fruit. This miraculous fruit granted him the ability to come back to life after his first death, which occurred during a battle with enemy pirates. Unfortunately, his soul got lost for a year before finding its way back to his body, by which time he had turned into a skeleton!

Died in battle. That's it. But the real twist? The Yomi Yomi no Mi fruit he ate. Made his comeback as a skeleton possible. Who knew death had loopholes?
