Making a bed in Terraria is pretty easy once you get the hang of it! First off, you'll need a Sawmill. To make a Sawmill, you gotta have 10 Wood, 2 Iron or Lead Bars, and 1 Chain at a Work Bench. After you've set up your Sawmill, gather 15 Wood and 5 Silk (you can get Silk from 7 Cobwebs at a Loom). Then, head back to your Sawmill, and craft your cozy bed. Now you're ready to set your spawn point and take on the night or, you know, just skip it entirely.

Honestly, I rarely bother making beds. Setting a spawn point is useful but half the fun is exploring without shortcuts. Though, it's a game-changer in multiplayer when you're setting up base with friends.
