How Do You Make Minecraft Portals?
Last updated
Ever wondered how to create those magical gateways in Minecraft that whisk you away to other realms? Well, you’re in the right place to find out!
Let’s dive into how you can make your very own Minecraft portals and start your adventure in new dimensions.
Simple Steps to Craft Your Minecraft Portal
Making a Minecraft portal is like baking a cake with a recipe of blocks and a spark! First thing’s first, you need to decide which type of portal you want to make. The two most popular types are the Nether Portal and the End Portal.
For the Nether Portal, you’ll need Obsidian blocks, which you can create by combining water and lava. Arrange these blocks in a rectangle standing four blocks tall and five blocks wide. Then, grab a Flint and Steel to light the inside of the frame on fire, and voilà, your portal to the Nether is ready!
Creating an End Portal is a bit more complex and is typically done in Survival mode, where you have to find a stronghold first using Eye of Enders. Once found, you fill the portal frame blocks with more Eyes of Enders, and then jump in to fight the dragon and explore the End.
