How does the chaser in Subway Surfers work?

The chaser in Subway Surfers, aka the grumpy Inspector and his dog, starts chasing you the moment you're caught spray-painting a subway. They're the reason you're running! These guys don't give up easily and keep following you throughout the game. You have to swipe left, right, up, and down to dodge trains and obstacles, keeping ahead of them. If you stumble or crash, they catch up, and it's game over (unless you have keys to continue). The inspector is more about keeping the pressure on you to keep moving fast and not as much about actively catching you unless you make a mistake.

I swear the inspector has rockets in those shoes, no way he can keep up with a hoverboard. But in real talk, he just keeps the game challenging. You mess up, he catches you. Simple as.

Basically, the chaser makes you run for your life. No chill from the inspector and his doggo, just a relentless pursuit to make you slip up!
