Honestly, it felt like it took forever, but it was probably closer to 30 minutes. Depends on how distracted you get by the sheer amount of stuff you can do in GTA Online right from the jump.

20-30 minutes tops, unless you're like me and spend half an hour just customizing your character. Then add another 30 for that, lol.
