Honestly, just focus on enjoying the game and improving each match. The rank will come. But yeah, 10 wins is the official count.

You need to win 10 competitive matches to get your initial rank in CS:GO. But remember, you can only win 2 matches per day until you've got your rank, so it'll take at least 5 days of winning to see where you stand!
