How to cap frames in CS:GO

Capping frames in CS:GO is pretty straightforward. Just open the console by pressing the tilde key (~), and type in 'fps_max [number]'. Replace '[number]' with the max frames per second (FPS) you want. If you wanna unlock your FPS, just set it to 0. This helps if you're trying to match your FPS with your monitor's refresh rate or if you're trying to reduce GPU load. Remember to enable the console from the game settings first!

Real talk - why cap your frames in CS:GO? Higher FPS = smoother gameplay. Unless you've got a specific reason, like syncing with your monitor's refresh rate, let those frames fly free!

I capped my frames to 144 because that's my monitor's refresh rate, and honestly, it made my gameplay smoother. It’s like, why let your GPU work overtime for frames you can't even see? Just open console and type 'fps_max 144'. Boom, done.
