Changing your CS:GO refresh rate can totally boost your gameplay experience. First up, you gotta make sure your monitor supports the refresh rate you want to use. Then, right click on your Desktop, go to Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings and check out the refresh rate options under the Monitor tab. For the game itself, open up Steam, right-click on CS:GO in your Library, select 'Properties', then 'Set Launch Options'. Type in '-refresh <rate>' or '-freq <rate>' replacing <rate> with your desired refresh rate. Hit OK, and boom, you’re done!

Just add '-refresh 144' or '-freq 144' in your CS:GO launch options if you're aiming for 144Hz. Works like a charm!

Honestly, most pros use high refresh rates, but I've been sticking with 60Hz and still top the scoreboards. It's not just about the Hz!
