I played around with the scaling settings and honestly, just setting it to 'Aspect ratio' worked best for me. Keeps the game looking sharp without stretching things weirdly. Definitely recommend trying that first.

Changing the scaling mode in CS:GO is pretty straightforward. Right-click on your desktop and go to Nvidia Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings, depending on your GPU. Look for 'Display' or 'Adjust desktop size and position' under Nvidia Control Panel. From there, you can find the 'Scaling' option, where you get to choose between 'Aspect ratio', 'Full-screen', and 'No scaling'. Make sure CS:GO is running at your monitor's native resolution for the best experience. Remember, these settings can also be accessed through the GPU's software if you're not keen on diving into the control panel!
