My personal hot take? Sculpting clay is overrated for custom Funkos. Find stickers or decal sheets for the intricate designs. So much easier and looks surprisingly professional.

Customizing your own Funko Pop is actually a fun project! Start by picking out a base model that resembles the figure you want to create; sometimes you might need to mix and match parts from different ones. After that, you'll need some acrylic paints, fine brushes, and possibly some sculpting clay for added details. Sand down any parts you're going to paint or reshape to help the paint stick better. Patience is key, so take your time with each step, from painting to sculpting. Seal your masterpiece with a clear coat to protect it.

Honestly, just buy a blank Funko Pop and go wild with sharpies and paint. Who needs details and sculpting when you've got creativity and permanent markers? Cheapest DIY project ever.
