Just smash the ground with a heavy weapon if you can't find a shovel. Sometimes, brute force is the answer in Hyrule.

Got the shovel but not sure where to dig? Look for those suspiciously softer patches of earth. They're usually hiding something good. Trust me, I spent half an hour digging up everything I could find and scored some pretty sweet loot. So keep your eyes peeled and dig everywhere!
