First things first, make sure your monitor actually supports 144hz! Then, right-click your desktop > Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings and select 144Hz from the dropdown. For CS:GO, right-click CS:GO in your Steam Library > Properties > Set Launch Options and type '-refresh 144'. Boom, silky smooth gameplay awaits!

Honestly, just plug and play should work. CS:GO's pretty good at picking up on your monitor's refresh rate as long as your PC settings are right.

Is 144Hz really that much better than 60Hz? I mean, as long as you're not going pro, 60Hz is fine. Save your money, folks.

Don't forget to actually check your in-game settings too. Sometimes, games have a mind of their own and like to override system settings. Happened to me once, was playing on 60Hz for a week before I realized!
