How to do fishing in Stardew Valley

Fishing in Stardew Valley starts with getting your first fishing rod from Willy, the fisherman. He'll give you a Bamboo Pole for free after you visit the beach with a letter he sends you. To fish, just stand near water, click to cast your line (the further you cast, the better), and wait for a bite. Once you see the exclamation mark, click to hook the fish. Then, you play the mini-game to reel it in - keep the fish within the green bar by clicking. It's tricky at first but super satisfying once you get the hang of it!

Honestly, just practice. The fishing mini-game in Stardew Valley can feel impossible at first, but it gets easier. The trick is to tap, not hold, the button to keep the fish in line. And upgrade your rod asap - it helps a lot.

IMO, fishing's too hard. Better off farming.
