Sometimes, it's not you, it's them. If you've tried everything and the mic still won't work, it might be a bug from a recent update. Keep an eye out for patches or updates from Valve that might fix the issue.

It might sound like a no-brainer, but restarting your computer can work wonders. It's like giving your PC a fresh start, and suddenly, the mic decides to work again. Magic!

First thing's first, make sure your mic is plugged in all the way! Sounds silly, but you'd be surprised how often it's just not connected properly. If that's sorted, go into CS:GO settings under 'Audio' and check if the 'Enable Voice' option is set to 'Yes'. Sometimes, the game likes to switch things off for no reason.

Don't forget to check your Steam settings too! Go to Steam > Settings > Voice and make sure your microphone is set as the default recording device. Steam can be sneaky and switch your settings without you noticing.
SoundWizard
Check your PC's sound settings outside the game. Right-click the speaker icon on your taskbar, go to 'Recording devices', and make sure your mic is enabled and set as the default device. Sometimes the problem isn't within CS:GO but with your overall system settings.
