Been there, done that! I hit 100k coins by focusing on the Super Mystery Boxes. You get these by completing the Weekly Hunt. They often contain a ton of coins and sometimes keys. Also, upgrade your coin magnet power-up to maximize its duration. Took some time, but totally worth it.
