Getting black bars in CS:GO on your laptop is all about fooling around with your graphics card settings. If you're using NVIDIA, head into the NVIDIA Control Panel, go to 'Adjust desktop size and position' under 'Display', and select 'Aspect ratio'. Then, check the box for 'Perform scaling on:' and select 'GPU'. Hit apply and boot up CS:GO to see those sleek black bars framing your game.

Just change the aspect ratio settings in your graphics card control panel. Either NVIDIA or AMD, they both have options to set your game to run with black bars by choosing the 'Aspect ratio' option and making sure the scaling is done on the GPU.

Can confirm the NVIDIA method works! Had to play around with the settings for a bit, but got those black bars eventually. Makes me feel like a pro, even if my aim still needs work, lol.

Honestly, why bother with black bars? They limit your field of vision in CS:GO. Maximizing your screen gives you an edge by seeing more of what's happening around you. Just a thought.
