How to get a custom background on CS:GO

Changing your background in CS:GO involves a bit of file tinkering, but it's totally doable! First, find a cool image you wanna use, then navigate to the CS:GO directory (usually in Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\panorama\videos). Here, you'll replace the existing background file (named 'sirocco.webm' or similar) with your new image. Ensure your new image is in .webm format and renamed to match the existing one. Remember to backup the original file in case you wanna switch back!

Actually, modifying game files for a custom background might not be the best idea. Valve has been known to issue bans for less. Just enjoy the game as is, and focus on getting those headshots!

Just a heads up, I changed my CS:GO background last month and itâs like a fresh coat of paint for the game! Just make sure your .webm file isnât too big, or you might get some lag on startup. Totally worth it for a personalized touch.
