In CS:GO, you don't really 'unlock' characters in the traditional sense like some other games. What you can do is get different character skins, which are purely cosmetic. These skins are available through the game's drop system, can be bought directly from the Steam Community Market, or traded with other players. Remember, these don't change the game's mechanics or give any player an advantage, just a fresh look!
