Focus on improving your aim in deathmatch servers before diving into competitive matches. Also, learn the maps like the back of your hand, knowing common spots and grenade throws can give you a huge advantage. Lastly, watch pro matches! You can pick up a lot of strategies and positioning tips by watching pros play.
