So, you’re in The End, the dimension filled with Ender Dragons and Endermen, and you’re looking for a way out. Don’t worry; there’s a clear path back to the Overworld.

Find the Exit Portal

The quickest way to leave The End is by defeating the Ender Dragon. Once you defeat the dragon, an exit portal appears. This portal looks like a bedrock structure with a starry black block in the center. Jump into this portal, and you’ll find yourself back in the Overworld, safe and sound.

If you’re not quite ready to take on the dragon, or you’ve already defeated it and are exploring the End’s outer islands, look for End Gateway Portals. These are small, one-block portals surrounded by bedrock, and they require an Ender Pearl to use. Toss an Ender Pearl into one, and you’ll teleport back to the main island where the exit portal is.
