Turning off updates for other software while playing helped me a lot. Every bit of bandwidth counts, especially when your PC decides it's time to update your entire game library in the background.

First off, check out your internet connection. A wired connection beats WiFi for gaming any day. Also, try shutting down any background apps that hog your internet bandwidth. If you're up for it, upgrading your internet plan could do wonders too. Lastly, play on servers closer to your location to reduce ping.

Don't forget about your router! Giving it a good ol' restart can sometimes magically solve your ping problems. It's like the classic 'turn it off and on again' move but for your internet.

Guys, sometimes it's just your ISP being funky. Give them a call if nothing else works. A friend of mine had this issue and it turned out to be something on their end. Fixed in no time after a quick chat.
