Just buy seeds from the Dryad during Halloween season and plant them. Easy.

I actually found a bunch of pumpkins growing near my base without even trying. Just planted the seeds they dropped and got more pumpkins than I knew what to do with. So, check around, you might not even need to buy seeds!
