How to Access and Edit Your CS:GO Config

Accessing your CS:GO config is pretty straightforward! Navigate to your Steam folder, head to 'userdata', find your Steam ID number, then look for '730' (that's the app ID for CS:GO). Inside, there's a folder named 'local' and then 'cfg'. Bam! All your config files are right there. You can edit these with any text editor to tweak your game settings to your liking. Remember to make a backup before you start changing things, just in case!

Just type 'exec autoexec.cfg' in your console in-game if you wanna run a specific config. Make sure you've placed your autoexec file in the right folder first. Easy peasy.

Pro tip: After tweaking your config, add 'host_writeconfig' at the end of your autoexec.cfg file. This ensures all your changes are saved and loaded correctly every time you start the game. Learned that the hard way after redoing my settings more times than I'd like to admit.

Honestly, messing with config files is overrated. Just use the in-game settings.
