Nope, doesn't work like that. You gotta be in a server where cheats are enabled. Otherwise, everyone would be running around with AWP's.

Just open the console with ~ and type 'give weapon_[weapon name]'. Works like a charm if you're playing around in a server where cheats are enabled. My friends and I use it all the time to mess around in custom games.

Actually, you can't just spawn weapons in any game. It's more of a server or practice mode thing. So if you're thinking of doing this in a competitive match, think again buddy.

Super easy stuff! Just open the console by pressing the tilde key (~) while you're in-game. Make sure you've enabled the console in the game settings first. Then type 'give weapon_[weapon name]'; for example, 'give weapon_ak47' for an AK-47. Remember, this only works in private matches or servers where you have admin rights.
