Actually, I managed to use commands in a local game to change skin appearances for fun. Remember, it's all for personal amusement and doesn't apply to online or official matches. And no, it won't give you free skins in your inventory, just changes the look temporarily while you're messing around in your own server.

Sorry to burst the bubble, but you can't actually give yourself skins with commands in CS:GO's real servers. The closest you get is in a local or private server with sv_cheats set to 1, using the command 'ent_fire !picker addoutput "modelindex #(skin number)"'. But remember, these changes are purely cosmetic and only visible to you. For the real deal, you gotta get them skins the traditional way or trade with others.
