To have no secondary weapon in CS:GO, simply open the buy menu at the start of the round and sell your secondary weapon. If you already have one, just drop it by selecting it and using the drop weapon key (default 'G'). Remember, you can't rebuy your starting pistol in the same round once you've dropped it, so make sure you really want to go pistol-less!

Honestly, not carrying a secondary weapon is a bold strategy. Tried it once for the lulz, and my teammates thought I was nuts. But hey, extra challenge, right?
