Short answer, you can't directly heal 'em. NPCs have this magical ability to heal themselves over time. Best you can do is keep your base mob-free and give 'em peace. They heal up quicker than you'd think!

Actually, I've been playing Terraria for years and never once needed to heal an NPC because they're basically immortal as long as they're not getting constantly attacked. Just focus on keeping the baddies away!
