Hosting a CS:GO server isn't as daunting as it sounds! First off, you'll need a decent PC or a server. Download the CS:GO dedicated server files via SteamCMD, a command-line version of Steam. You'll need to set up a Steam account if you don't already have one. After downloading, configure your server settings like map rotation and game modes by editing the server.cfg file. Don't forget to forward ports on your router (usually 27015) to allow others to join. Finally, launch your server with the provided batch file, and boom, you're ready to invite friends or the public to join in on the action!

Tried hosting once, ended up playing more with server settings than actually playing CS:GO. If you really wanna go down that rabbit hole, make sure you've got a good internet connection and plenty of patience for troubleshooting!

Just rent a server, honestly. Much easier than setting it up yourself and dealing with the headache of port forwarding and configuration. Plenty of services out there offer CS:GO servers for a fairly low monthly fee. Plus, they handle all the technical stuff for you.
