Another quick method is to have one friend join a community server first. Then, the rest can simply right-click their name in the Steam friends list and select 'Join Game'. This way you don't have to search for the server manually. Just make sure everyone's Steam overlay is enabled for this to work smoothly.

Honestly, just use the server IP! One person finds a good server, gets the IP address, and shares it with the group. Then, everyone can open the console in CS:GO (enable it in game settings first) and type 'connect [server IP]', hit enter, and bam, you're all in the same server.
