How to Know If Your Pokemon Cards Are First Edition
Best answer

Easy peasy! Just look for the tiny 'Edition 1' symbol located directly below the bottom left corner of the Pokemon illustration. It looks like a little '1' inside a circle. No symbol, no first edition. And remember, this only applies to cards from certain early sets, so not all Pokemon cards even have first edition versions!

Just flip it over and squint really hard. Jokes aside, look for the 'Edition 1' symbol on the left side below the Pokemon image. If it's not there, you're outta luck. And hey, not every set has first editions, so keep that in mind before you start flipping through your entire collection!

You actually can't. All Pokemon cards are unique snowflakes. Kidding! Find the 'Edition 1' mark under the picture on the card. No mark, no first edition bragging rights.
