Just get a hosting service lol. Managing a server is a pain, and hosting services make it way easier. Plus, you won't have your PC running 24/7.

Starting your own CS:GO dedicated server isn't as hard as it might seem! First up, you'll need a computer to host the server (the stronger, the better to handle more players). Then, download and install SteamCMD, Valve's command-line version of Steam. After that, you'll use SteamCMD to install and update the CS:GO server files. Don't forget to forward the ports on your router (usually 27015) to allow players to connect. Lastly, configure your server settings by editing or creating a server.cfg file. Voila, invite your friends and start playing!

Honestly, why bother? So many public servers are out there and looking for players. Plus, no headache of setting it up or keeping it running.

Been running my own CS:GO server for years now. Best advice? Keep it updated and secure. Regularly check for updates through SteamCMD and always have a backup of your configs. It's not just about setting it up; maintaining it is where the real work begins.
