Starting a private CS:GO server is pretty straightforward if you're looking to play with friends! First, launch your game and open the console by pressing the '~' key. Type 'map de_dust2' (or any map you prefer) to start a server with that map. Then, invite your friends using the 'invite' option in your Steam friends list. You can also set a password by typing 'sv_password yourpassword' in the console to keep it private!

Just rent a server from one of the many providers out there. It's way easier and you don't have to mess with your computer settings. Plus, you can keep it running 24/7 for whenever your squad wants to hop on.

Just use the 'Play with Friends' option and set the game to 'Private Match'. No need to overcomplicate things.
