Honestly, why would you wanna make the map bigger? It's perfectly fine as is. Making it bigger just clutters your screen. Keep it default, and learn the maps instead. Trust me, it's better in the long run.

Just press '+' on the numpad. Seriously, it's that simple. Your in-game map will zoom in, making it easier to see details. But don't forget, hitting '-' will make it smaller again.
