Honestly, just drop everything to the lowest setting and pray to the CS gods. Also, consider closing literally everything else on your laptop. CS:GO doesn't like to share.

Upgrading your laptop might not always be an option, but adding more RAM or switching to an SSD can make a world of difference if you can swing it. I did this on my old clunker and it was like giving it a new lease on life, at least for gaming!

First off, dive into the game's video settings and lower them. Things like shadows, textures, and effects can really eat up performance, so set those to low or 'very low'. Also, lower the resolution; it can massively boost your FPS. Outside the game, make sure no unnecessary background processes are hogging your resources. CS:GO loves to have all the CPU and GPU it can get!

Try using a game booster app. Some people say they're snake oil, but I've actually seen a few FPS improvements on my end. Worth a shot!
