Just throw it on low settings. Seriously, CS:GO is more about that sweet, sweet FPS than fancy graphics. You won't notice the graphics mid-game when you're too busy clutching rounds.

First off, dive into the settings and lower your graphics. Things like shadows, texture detail, and effects can eat up performance, so turn those down or off. Make sure your laptop is using its dedicated GPU for CS:GO, not the integrated one. Also, update your graphics driver; sometimes those updates are game-changers for performance. Oh, and keep your laptop cool, maybe get a cooling pad. CS:GO doesn't need a sauna to run smoothly!

In my experience, running CS:GO in fullscreen (not windowed or borderless) mode significantly boosts performance. Also, try disabling Steam overlay; for whatever reason, that thing is a resource hog. Worked wonders for me!
