Actually, I managed to open a couple of cases for free by trading in-game items I didn’t need with other players for keys. It takes a bit of hustle and knowing the market, but if you're savvy, it's totally doable!

No such thing as a free lunch... or in this case, a free case. Seriously, just play the game, earn those drops, and keep your fingers crossed for keys. That's as 'free' as it gets.
