Pausing a CS:GO match really depends on if you're playing in a casual game or a competitive setting. In casual games, you can't really pause the match since it's all about quick, continuous play. But in competitive matches, you can use the vote system to request a pause for the next freezetime. Just open the command console (usually the '~' key), and type 'callvote pause' to initiate a vote among your team. Remember, this needs a majority vote to pass!
