Admin rights are a must for pausing a match. Without them, you can't really pause time in CS:GO. It's not a feature available to everyone, more's the pity. Would've loved to have a time-out in some of those intense matches!

Pausing time in CS:GO isn't something you can do in a regular online match, but if you're playing in a private server or a match with friends, you can use the console command 'mp_pause_match' to pause the game. You'll need to have admin privileges to use this command, though! Just open the console (`~` key), type 'mp_pause_match', and hit enter. To unpause, you use 'mp_unpause_match'. Remember, this is more for practice or fun matches, not your competitive grind!
