Start by mastering the basics: learn the maps, get comfortable with the controls, and practice shooting with both rifles and pistols. Playing deathmatch will help you improve your aim faster. Also, don't spray and pray; learn to control your recoil. Understanding the economy is key too; don't waste your in-game money. And most importantly, play with friends or make some in the game; it's more fun and you'll learn quicker!
