Proxying Pokemon cards is super easy and great for playtesting! Just find a card image online, print it out, and then slip it into a sleeve with a real card for stability. Make sure your printout is clear enough to read the text. This way, you won't have to spend big bucks on a card before deciding if it's right for your deck.

Honestly, just write the card name, HP, and moves on a piece of paper and slip it into a sleeve with any old Pokemon card you don't use. It's quick, cheap, and does the job when you're trying to figure out your deck strategy.

No need to get fancy with proxies for casual play, imo. Just use whatever you have on hand. If your friends are cool with it, even a quick sketch works. Who knows, you might discover your hidden talent as a Pokemon card artist!
