Quitting a mission in GTA 5 is pretty straightforward, my friend! If you're in the middle of a mission and decide it's not for you, simply open up the game menu by pressing the pause button. Then navigate to the 'Game' tab and select 'Load Game' or 'New Game' to exit the mission. Remember though, you'll lose any progress from that mission!

I just phone a friend in the game or blow stuff up till it lets me quit. Works every time. Plus, it's more fun than quitting the traditional way.

Hot take: Just fail the mission on purpose. If you blow up something important or get your character wasted, the game gives you a quick option to quit or restart. Sometimes, it's faster than fiddling through menus!
