Getting rid of those annoying black bars in CS:GO when playing in 4:3 is all about tweaking your graphics settings. First, go into your graphics card control panel (NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Radeon Settings). Look for the 'Adjust desktop size and position' for NVIDIA or 'Display' for AMD. Here, you'll find an option that says 'Scaling mode' or just 'Scaling.' Change it to 'Full-screen'. This stretches the game to fit your monitor, eliminating the black bars. Don't forget to apply the same settings in the game's graphics options!

Had this issue last week! Fixed it by changing the scaling mode in my NVIDIA settings to 'Full-screen'. Made the game look so much better without those black bars. Just make sure your monitor also supports the resolution you're setting in-game.
