How to Reset Your CS:GO Game to Default Settings

If you need to reset your CS:GO to default settings, it's pretty straightforward. Right-click on CS:GO in your Steam library, select 'Properties,' then 'Set Launch Options.' Here, type '-autoconfig' and hit OK. Start CS:GO, and it'll be back to square one. Just remember to remove '-autoconfig' from your launch options after the reset to prevent it from resetting every time you start the game.

Simple answer, folks: delete your config file. Navigate to your CS:GO folder, look for the config.cfg file, and delete it. When you launch the game next, CS:GO will automatically generate a new config file with all the default settings. Warning: Make a backup before you delete anything, just in case you have second thoughts!

Just go into the game settings in CS:GO and click 'Restore Defaults.' Saves you the trouble of messing around with game files or launch options.

Honestly, resetting your game is overkill. Just tweak the settings you messed up. Most times, you don't need to nuke everything back to the Stone Age.

If all else fails, reinstall the game. It's the nuclear option, but hey, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
