Ah, the classic CS:GO mic hijack! To keep your mic volume from changing, go into your Steam settings. Click on 'Friends & Chat', find the 'Voice' section, and look for 'Voice Input Device Settings'. You should see a setting there that says 'Automatically transmit my voice whenever I speak'. Make sure you uncheck any boxes that allow apps to take exclusive control of your mic. Also, in Windows sound settings under 'Recording Devices', find your mic, go to 'Properties', then 'Advanced', and uncheck 'Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device'. This should keep your settings locked in, and CS:GO won't mess with your mic volume anymore.

Just uncheck 'Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device' in your mic settings. CS:GO can't change what it can't control!

Honestly, I've tried everything and nothing worked. Ended up just adjusting my volume manually before every game. CS:GO seems to have a mind of its own.
