How to tell if my Pokemon card is 1st edition

Spotting a 1st Edition Pokemon card is pretty easy once you know where to look! Just check out the lower left corner of the card's image. If your card is a 1st edition, you'll see a small, unique '1st Edition' stamp there. This stamp is super iconic, with a bold '1' followed by 'st' in superscript, all nestled inside a dark, circular background. Keep an eye out though; not all sets include 1st edition cards, so this trick mainly works for the older ones!

Just flip it over and look for the '1st Edition' symbol dude. It's like a badge of honor. No symbol, no 1st edition. Easy!

Actually, the whole '1st Edition' frenzy is a bit overhyped. Most of the charm in Pokemon TCG comes from playing and trading, not just hoarding rare cards. Still, if collecting's your thing, then yeah, that little symbol is what you're after.
