First things first, check the bottom of your card for a tiny copyright symbol and the year of production. Original cards will have details specific to their release period. Also, genuine cards have a distinct quality feel to them - they're glossy and have a bit of a rigid texture. Counterfeits tend to be flimsy and dull. Don't forget to look at the color and font too; if they're off, you might want to question the card's authenticity.
