How to tell what a Pokemon card is worth

Just flip that card over and look for the little symbol near the bottom - circle (common), diamond (uncommon), or star (rare). If you've got something with a star and it looks pretty fancy, you might be sitting on a mini fortune. But honestly, the easiest way is to just search the card name online. There's plenty of sites that'll tell you what it's going for right now.

First up, check out the symbol at the bottom right of your card - that tells you its rarity. Common cards have a circle, uncommons a diamond, and rares a star. For the real treasures, look out for shiny holographic cards or cards with unusual artwork, as they can be much more valuable. Condition matters too - a mint condition card fetches way more than a well-loved one. Finally, hit up online databases or forums for the current market rates; prices can fluctuate based on demand and rarity!

TBH, most Pokemon cards aren't worth much unless they're rare or in perfect condition. So, don't get your hopes up too high unless you've got something really special.

Been collecting for years, and best advice I can give is always double-check multiple sources for a card's value. Prices can vary a lot depending on where you look. Sites like TCGplayer are great for getting a ballpark figure, but eBay sold listings will show you what people are actually paying.
