How to Use a Brewing Stand in Minecraft

Last updated
Ever wondered how to whip up potions in Minecraft using a brewing stand? You’re in the right place to find out!
Let’s dive into how you can use a brewing stand to make all kinds of magical potions in Minecraft.
Quick Guide to Using a Brewing Stand
First things first, to use a brewing stand in Minecraft, you need one! You can find one in a village or make it yourself with a blaze rod and three cobblestones.
Once you’ve got your brewing stand, place it on the ground and right-click to open its brewing interface. You’ll see slots for a blaze powder (which powers the stand), up to three water bottles, and one ingredient for the potion you want to create.
Creating Magic Potions
To start brewing, fill your bottles with water from any water source using right-click, then place them in the stand. Add blaze powder to the left-hand slot to power up the stand. Now, choose your potion ingredient and put it in the top slot. Brewing will begin!
Depending on what ingredient you use, you’ll create different potions. For example, adding a Nether Wart first makes an Awkward Potion, which is the base for many others. From there, adding ingredients like a Ghast Tear will make a Potion of Regeneration. Experiment to find all the potion recipes!
