Used the X-ray scanner once, and it showed me what was inside the case. Had to grab the item before I could scan another. It’s cool to see what you're gonna get before making a decision.

Don't bother, it's a gimmick. Just open the cases.

The CS:GO X-ray scanner is pretty straightforward to use! Once you get a package that contains a weapon case in your inventory, you'll see an option to 'Scan' with the X-ray Scanner instead of opening it directly. Just click that, and the scanner will reveal what's inside the case without actually opening it. Remember, after you use the scanner on a case, you HAVE to claim the item inside before you can use the scanner on another case.
