Is CS2 more CPU or GPU intensive?
Best answer
AlexGamer
CS2, much like its predecessor CS:GO, tends to be more CPU intensive than GPU. The game engine relies heavily on your processor for things like physics calculations and handling the game's logic. That said, having a decent GPU can still make a difference, especially for achieving higher frame rates and better graphics settings.

GPU all the way if you ask me. I cranked up all the graphical settings and my graphics card was sweating bullets. Sure, the CPU’s important, but that sweet graphical fidelity comes at a cost, and it’s your GPU paying the bill.

CPU? GPU? Why not both? 🤷♂️
TechieTalk
Honestly, it's both. CS2 is a balanced game in terms of system demands. If you're pushing higher resolutions, then GPU gets more load. For general gameplay, especially at competitive settings, CPU weightage is more. Best is to have a strong setup for both.

Team CPU here. Played on various rigs, and the CPU upgrade always made the biggest difference in smooth gameplay. High FPS and smoothness in CS2 are crucial, and a solid CPU delivers that.
